Norrtälje Custom bike Show launching an app

To make it easy for anyone who wants to visit this year’s Virtual Custom Bike Show, Twin Club Mc’s newly developed app will soon be available for download.

Unfortunately, due to the prevailing social situation with the Corona virus, there is no possibility of organizing a regular Custom Bike Show in June 2020. Instead, Twin Club Mc will host an unusual Custom Bike Show – a virtual exhibition.

– To make it easier for our visitors, we have developed our very own app, says Anders Karlsson member of Twin Club Mc who is the creator of the app and continues:

– It is approved by Google and now we are expecting an ok from App Store anytime soon. The app will be completely free to download, as the entire event will be too, it is free to show your bike, it is free visit as well as vote in all classes. This year’s exhibition will be a completely virtual event, but arranged so that anyone who wants to follow it all digitally will have an experience that can be recognized, by many, from a regular Custom Bike Show. To achieve this vision, Twin club has developed a website with several unusual solutions. Already, several functions are in progress, including an easy opportunity to sign up. Also this year’s program is to read as well as a film in which our chairman welcomes, says Ulf Karlsson, member of Twin Club Mc, who participated in the development work. This year’s virtual exhibition has received a positive response from bikers, companies and sponsors. Everyone seems to agree that a virtual event is needed, as a regular Custom Bike Show cannot be arranged. We already have about 100 entries to the exhibition, even though the page has been up for just a week, the applications are coming in from all over the world, says Ulf Karlsson, member of Twin Club Mc, who participated in the development work.

– Among the first to sign up was a motorcycle enthusiast from Illinois, USA. Since then many notifications have been received from Sweden and several countries in Europe, including Switzerland, Ulf continues.

For those who are interested and want to participate in the exhibition, one or more pictures should be submitted on their bike. The pictures are placed in different forums corresponding to the different classes in a regular exhibition. This year’s exhibition includes the classes HD-Chopper, Chopper, Custom, Racer, Classic and Modified Standard. The soon-to-be-launched app makes it easier for anyone who wants to follow it all digitally, a shortcut into this year’s Custom Bike Show.

In addition to the motorcycle exhibitions, there will be various digital activities to take part in during the day – a live music program as well as various elements and events almost as a normal day in the Societetsparken! The Custom Bike Show is an event that normally takes place on the first Saturday in June. The bike season starts for many interested parties with a visit to Societetsparken in the central part of Norrtälje. 4000-5000 motorcycles usually attend and they fill up all nearby streets, which for the day are converted into parking spaces. The park has 10,000 visitors – bikers of all ages. The Custom Bike Show is organized by Twin Club Mc, which is one of the oldest motorcycle clubs in Sweden. However, the way to organize the exhibition this year is completely new!
