New ideas for odd times made Twin Club Norrtälje go cyber with this years Custom Bike Show. This is a short resumé of how it all turned out. Good job!!!
Custom Bike Show 2020 – a year like never before. No one could expect that a small virus from far away land could hit so hard. The Custom Bike show, an event that is very warm-hearted, not least for us at Twin Club, was given completely different conditions. But we decided to do something different this year, namely a digital Custom implemented in the Cyber world. At first, the idea felt like a rough alternative to the traditional folk party, but the more the idea took shape, the greater the ambitions. We would make this the best digital Biker meeting ever made! As usual, it was the first Saturday in June that applied, which happened this year on Sweden’s National Day. It is also the 46th round of Custom held since its inception in 1971. The classes for the year were Chopper, HD chopper, Classic, Modified standard, Custom and Racer. A total of 340 equipages participated, most of them in the regular HD chopper class, with 131 contributions. After that, the Custom and Modified standard classes were the most popular. Extremely funny that so many were competing despite the different arrangement, where they competed by submitting pictures, videos and a description of their high. All visitors to the site could vote once in each class. This year’s jury consisting of Calle Söderberg, Micke Sandberg, Leffe Jansson, Pirre Morgan and Hasse Wiklund, has had a full say in assessing all contributions. When the clock strikes three, the jury has selected the winner of the Twin Club Cyberbike award. The award went to the builder Alain de Poissy from France, with his building Good Wave. President Bine Hägglund is pleased with how the day has taken shape; – “It has flowed on well, despite a very different year,” he says. The entertainment this year was also not something to be upset about. On stage we had David Harleyson Powertrio live for the 20th year consisting of singer and bassist Lasse Gidbo, guitarist Håkan Nilsson and drummer Håkan Rangemo. – “It will be fun, will be fun,” comments guitarist Håkan Nilsson. Twin Club MC would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who followed us through our social media before, and been with us during the day! The engagement has been far above expectations, with a total of 8500 live views over a total broadcast time of almost seven hours. Custom Bike Show 2020 – ett år som aldrig förr. Ingen kunde väl vänta sig att ett litet virus från fjärran land kunde slå så hårt. Custom Bike show, en tillställning som ligger många varmt om hjärtat, inte minst för oss inom Twin Club, fick helt andra förutsättningar. Men vi bestämde oss för att göra något annorlunda i år, nämligen ett digitalt Custom som genomförs i Cyber-världen. Till en början kändes idén som ett torftig alternativ gentemot den traditionella folkfesten, men ju mer idén tog form, desto större blev ambitionerna. Vi skulle göra detta till den bästa digitala Biker-träffen som gjorts!Som vanligt var det första lördagen i juni som gällde, vilket detta år inträffade på Sveriges nationaldag. Det är även den 46:e omgången av Custom som hållits sedan starten 1971. Klasserna för året var Chopper, HD-chopper, Classic, Modified standard, Custom samt Racer. Totalt deltog hela 340 ekipage, varav flest i klassen HD-chopper i vanlig ordning, med 131 bidrag. Därefter var klasserna Custom och Modified standard mest populära. Oerhört roligt att så många var med och tävlade trots det annorlunda upplägget, där man tävlade genom att skicka in bilder, videoklipp och en beskrivning av sin hoj. Alla besökare på sidan kunde rösta en gång i varje klass.
Årets jury bestående av Calle Söderberg, Micke Sandberg, Leffe Jansson, Pirre Morgan och Hasse Wiklund, har haft fullt upp med att bedöma alla bidrag. President Bine Hägglund är nöjd med hur dagen tagit form; – ”Det har flutit på bra, trots ett väldigt annorlunda år” säger han. Underhållningen i år var inte heller något att tumma på. På scenen hade vi genom livesändning för 20e året David Harleyson Powertrio bestående av sångaren och basisten Lasse Gidbo, gitarristen Håkan Nilsson och trummisen Håkan Rangemo. – ”Det ska bli kul, kommer bli drag”, kommenterar gitarristen Håkan Nilsson. Twin Club MC vill rikta ett stort tack till alla som följt oss via våra sociala medier inför, samt varit med oss under dagen!
