For some years we have tried to combine basically four different areas within motorcycles. The Evil Monkey which used to be a magazine full of great choppers, meetings, vintage rides and a touch of flat track. But somewhere along the path of life, flat track became a very big part of our life in different ways. Partly as racing ourselves in our team The Kick Ass Crew, partly as a race organizer of both Trotteln i Taket which is more of an event but also as the only permanent member of the Nordic Flat Track Cup aka Viking Cup and our own round in Vetlanda named Monkey Race Days.
Within the range of making magazines, photo shoots, content and design are a natural part of the everyday work so taking another direction start making designs for t-shirts, merchandaise as well as stickers, banners, number plates and race jerseys wasn’t very far away, so we did. Until this year we even branded it as “Dirty Design” and we are proud to delivered som nice race jerseys as well as our promo -t-shirts for our race team already.
All good but suddenly we realized we kind of lost the red line and the track has been far from straight as well as finacially sustainable. Money isn’t everything but it’s the best feeling being able to pay for your everyday life as well as either a vaccation or a race weekend once in a while.
However to make a change our first step is to unite our different areas in one platform, still being able to offer the diversity of what we are passionate about. By taking this important step we are able to save lots of time to be able to keep growing the parts thats actually bringing food on the table, without loosing the service and news we still like to offer you on almost daily bases.
We will start this journey with our digital platforms and first of all our web sites, later on social media accounts as well as youtube channels, we will become one unit The Evil Monkey, Scandinavian Flat Track and Dirty Design will have the same boss – The Kick Ass Crew.
This will take a while and we will collect everyting in one website, but when we are done you can as usual use your favorite web site address whehter its theevilmonkey.se, scandinavianflattrack.se or our new dirtydesign.se, but the front page will look a bit different than what you are used to.
This work will go on top of everything we do so there will be small step at a time, to make sure everything is rolling as usual but for a while during the “construction time” we wont update scandinavian flat track, instead all updates will be published on theevilmonkey.se and under flat track categorie.
This applies on all race updates standings etc in The Nordic Flat Track Cup as well.
We do hope you will stay with us during this mayor change even if there most certainly will be some road bumps along the way.
